License

Without a license, STView runs in demo mode. Demo mode lets you open and try the application, including Recast, Record, and Detect. Each continuous demo playback session stops after five minutes, together with its active outputs. After the limit is reached, playback remains unavailable until STView is restarted. The video area displays Demo expired on a dark background, alongside the existing status-bar message. This notice remains visible until STView restarts, including when video overlays are disabled. MISB 0601 decoding also uses libmisb's demo restrictions, exposing tags below 15 together with tag 65.

To lift demo restrictions, request a license and apply it in STView. Open Settings > Options, go to the licensing area, and follow the prompts to enter or apply the license information you received.

A verified license may enable Recast, Record, and Detect. Replacing or removing the license updates those options in the running application; you do not need to restart STView.
