Live Mode

Live mode is not currently available as a supported inspection workflow.

Current Status​

The desktop shell still includes a Live page, but live inspection should be treated as unavailable in the current release.

Do not plan operational workflows around Live mode yet. Use File Mode for supported inspection work.

What The Current Page Shows​

The current Live page is limited to a UI shell for future live inspection work. It includes fields for:

  • a udp://host:port source URI
  • an optional multicast interface
  • recent live sources
  • a workspace panel area for session status, metadata, findings, and player output

These elements should be understood as preview or placeholder functionality rather than a supported live workflow.

Licensing Note​

The page may still reference the live_inspection license capability, but that capability does not change the current availability status of Live mode in this release.

Until Live mode is released as a supported feature:

  • use File mode for inspection and validation
  • use archived file results when you need to reopen previous runs
  • use the local REST API only for the currently supported recorded-file flows
