Player
Use the Settings -> Player tab to control how the recorded-file Player behaves.
These settings are application-level preferences. They are saved locally and reused the next time you open StInspector.
⚙️ Available Options
🖼️ External frame provider
Enable External frame provider when you want the Player to use the application's external frame-provider path instead of the default internal frame retrieval path. For some files it may give a more reliable results.
If this option is off, the Player uses the default built-in frame retrieval behavior.
⚓ Show Decode anchor
Enable Show Decode anchor when you want the Player page to display the Decode anchor readout next to the timeline information.
The decode anchor is the decoder start point used for the current seek. The Player can decode from a short preroll before the requested position, so this readout is useful when you need to understand where frame extraction actually begins.
💾 Saving Changes
After changing either option, select Save Player Settings to persist the updated Player preferences.
Related Configuration
The Player toolbar also includes a file-scoped Platform Config dialog.
That dialog is different from the Settings -> Player tab:
Settings -> Playercontrols application-wide Player behaviorPlatform Configcontrols the platform type, model, and color used by the map overlay for the current file
The platform configuration is saved per file and reused when that same file is opened again.
