🎯 Field Plausibility

This semantic rule warns on suspicious but technically decodable MISB ST 0601 values that often indicate placeholder, clipped, or operationally doubtful metadata.

What This Test Does

The rule looks for patterns such as:

  • zero-value coordinates that resemble defaults or placeholders
  • offset corner values at clipping boundaries
  • empty operational strings that are usually populated in real telemetry

✅ Pass Criteria

The test passes when no suspicious MISB ST 0601 plausibility patterns are detected in the decoded packets.

⚠️ Warning Criteria

This rule is advisory. It reports warnings rather than hard failures when a value is decodable but looks operationally suspect.

Notes

Use this rule to separate likely telemetry quality issues from strict schema failures. A warning here does not necessarily mean the packet is malformed, only that the content deserves closer inspection.
