Security Metadata Unknown Tag for Revision

This structural rule detects MISB ST 0102 tags that are not defined for the resolved security metadata revision.

What This Test Does​

The rule:

  • resolves the MISB ST 0102 revision for each nested security local set
  • compares each observed tag number with the set of tags defined for that revision
  • reports tags that are outside the allowed revision-specific schema

✅ Pass Criteria​

The test passes when every observed tag in each security local set is defined for the resolved MISB ST 0102 revision.

❌ Fail Criteria​

The test fails when a security local set contains a tag that is not defined for the resolved revision.

Notes​

This rule is revision-aware. A tag that is valid in a later MISB ST 0102 revision may still fail if the nested local set declares an earlier revision.
